Cards and Crafts

I realise I haven't posted here in a while, so here's the latest update!

I went to the Hobbycrafts exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham last Saturday and it gave me lots of inspiration (and a dented bank balance). At the exhibition there were numerous stands not only for cross stitch, but also for card making, jewellery making, painting and much more. It was heaven.

I'm finding it hard to cross stitch now the winter nights are drawing in as there's no natural light left by the time I get home from work. I use my computer all day and my eyes get tired quite easily - the last thing I want to be doing at night is straining them even more trying to count aida squares!

So, for the time being, and until I can afford a craft desktop lamp, I have reverted back to card making.

These two cards were made for two of my friends. I'm proud of them both, but the pink card is my absolute favourite as I am a girly girl at heart. I've already started making Christmas cards, so watch this space!

If you have any card projects you're working on, I'd love to hear from you. I'm still very much beginning so would love to share any tips...I discovered the joy of 3D foam at the weekend!
